RTA changes vehicle registration cards
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, January 27 - 2008 at 14:19
- PRESS RELEASE
Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced that changes have been made on vehicles registration cards.
Engineer Maitha bin Adai, CEO of Traffic & Roads Agency, said that the changes made to the form of the card, through displaying RTA logo on new cards issued by all branches of Licensing Dep't in Dubai at the time of initial vehicle registration or renewal, aims to enhance the corporate identity of the RTA, following the transfer of vehicles & drivers licensing responsibilities from Dubai Police to the RTA.
"Licensing Dep't has started issuing the new registration cards at Deira Center since the beginning of this year and the process is being generalized to all other branches of Licensing Dep't and affiliated Tasjeel Centers across the emirate. Issuance of old registration cards has ceased since the beginning of last week" said Eng. Maitha.
She added that the Licensing Department at RTA Traffic & Roads Agency is proceeding with upgrading service levels to top quality standards.
All public requests and applications - including annual vehicle licensing, registration services, issuance & amendment of registration cards, issuance of export & sale certificates, and other services - are well attended to and processed in a timely manner.
The Departmentt aims at relieving customers from any burden and providing classy service in vehicle inspection and registration. Maitha stressed that RTA is keen to simplify procedures for clients and process their applications in a record time, according to the highest international standards.
