Compared to 2007, MEE will be witnessing a higher turn-up of French companies (31 compared to 20 last year), that have shown great interest in displaying their products and know-how at the forthcoming show.

According to Arnaud Zerkovitz, UBIFRANCE Energy project manager, the 31 leading french companies will seize the opportunity to increase their communication with the Gulf states in order to present their achievements and developments in the energy sector. He added that MEE exhibition consistently provides French companies with a world class opportunity to promote their new technologies and services to a broad spectrum of visitors from throughout the GCC and neighboring countries.

Sarah Woodbridge, Group Director Exhibitions, says that "MEE has developed into the most important exhibition of its kind in the world for industry professionals for the power generation, lighting, water, gas and new & renewable energy", adding that "for the first time in 33 years, the exhibition space was sold out over 2 months before the show".

Hassan Behnam, Managing Director and CIO of UBIFRANCE regional press office, says that the growing interest shown by french companies for MEE in Dubai reflects the importance of this exhibition, considered to be the ideal platform to exchange expertise and proficiency in the energy sector, among the Gulf countries.

The 31 French companies will exhibit diversified services and products covering oil, chemistry, marine and tertiary markets, industrial power converters for human and machine safety, precision instruments and automation systems, telecom products, industrial power supplies and traction chargers, electrical test & measuring instruments, industrial fuses and fuse holders and other components such as high-power switches, cooling devices and transport materials.
