Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President of the UAE and Prime Minister Ruler of Dubai, the event marked the formal inauguration of the Dubai Festival City. Held in Festival Marina overlooking the 21st century Dubai cityscape, the event was attended by over 1,500 important local and international guests. The triumph of the event highlights and celebrates the successful partnership between Al-Futtaim Group and Dubai Shopping Festival.
The opening event of the Dubai Shopping Festival confirms Dubai Festival City's position as a leading destination for shopping and entertainment in the Emirate.
This occasion also marked the inaugural opening of Dubai Festival City which celebrates the completion of a significant number and mix of facilities comprising retail, leisure, hospitality, residential, commercial and education.
