DTCM meeting reviews draft upgraded hotel classification system

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) organized on January 27 a meeting of coordinators of Dubai's hotels and hotel apartments to review the draft regulations for the upgraded classification system for hotels and hotel apartments planned to be introduced later this year.
Mr. Eyad welcomed the gathering and expressed confidence that the new hotel and hotel apartment classification system would be beneficial to the industry and will help take the service standards of Dubai's hospitality industry to newer heights.
Mr. Khalid bin Touq highlighted the salient features of the draft upgraded hotel and hotel apartment classification regulations.
Mr. Mohammed Al Geziry, Consultant, gave a presentation on the existing classification system and the proposed upgrades.
