Etisalat's profit up 20%

Etisalat's fourth-quarter profit rose 20% by adding new mobile phone users at home, but the company missed most analysts' forecasts as it continued to expand abroad, reported Reuters. The second-largest Arab telecom operator by market value made Dhs1.76bn ($480m) in the three months to December 31, up 19.7% from a year earlier. The quarterly profit missed four of five analysts' forecasts in a Reuters survey last month, which ranged from Dhs1.61 billion to Dhs2.03 billion.
