This next generation CAD system is designed to enhance the overall clinical performance with Senographe and Seno Advantage systems, specifically improving sensitivity to breast cancer imaging, enhancing usability and workflow as well as providing diagnostic support tools.

"In an effort to provide leading solutions for our customers, GE has selected iCAD as our development partner for digital mammography CAD solutions," said David Caumartin, general manager of global mammography for GE Healthcare.

"iCAD's currently available revision of Secondlook Digital works well with GE's complete line of Senographe FFDM systems and Seno Advantage Review Work Stations and will continue to be a key aspect to the company's platform in an effort to provide the best technology with outstanding clinical value to our customers."

SecondLook Digital offers radiologists CAD technology that is designed to distinguish cancers from other anomalies in the breast. In addition to workflow advantages, SecondLook Digital detects up to 72 per cent of actionable missed cancers an average of 15 months earlier and integrates seamlessly with DICOM systems to improve workflow.

"We are very pleased to expand our partnership with GE Healthcare to optimize SecondLook Digital with Senographe and SenoAdvantage," said Ken Ferry, President and CEO of iCAD. "By customizing iCAD's technology for GE's systems, currently used in leading radiology centers worldwide, we believe that we will increase the many benefits of this system for radiologists, and ultimately provide an even higher level of detection for women."
