Zain reports record earnings

Mobile telecom operator Zain has announced that in fiscal year 2007 it recorded the highest ever net profits in the history of Kuwait's private sector. The company recorded consolidated revenues of $5.91bn (KD1.677bn) for 2007, an increase of 32% compared to 2006. Active customers reached 42.4 million, an increase of 56% on 2006.
