83 exhibitors from 11 countries to participate in largest-ever edition of IREIS

  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, January 29 - 2008 at 15:34
  • PRESS RELEASE

Eighty-three exhibitors from eleven countries will participate in the fourth edition of Abu Dhabi's premier annual property show, IREIS (Abu Dhabi Real Estate and Investments Show).

IREIS will be held 30th January to 2nd February, 2008 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

"We are pleased to present the largest-ever edition of IREIS. Exhibit space at this year's edition has reached 10,000 square meters, an increase of 45 percent over the previous edition. The number of exhibitors has also increased from 52 at last year's event to 83 this time", said Antoine Georges, Director, Dome Exhibitions, while addressing a pre-show press conference for IREIS in Abu Dhabi today.

Georges also said that besides strong participation from the UAE, the show had also received support from international exhibitors from ten countries including Qatar, India, Kuwait, Spain, Germany, Cyprus, Malaysia, the US, the UK and Austria.

Georges noted that the show's success is built on the IREIS' positioning as a strong platform for investors, real estate players and the end-customer to meet, interact and conclude business.

Exhibitors at IREIS 2008 include master developers, property development companies, real estate agents and major financial institutions. Organizers expect the show to attract over 8000 visitors ranging from first time buyers to existing real estate investors, who are looking at expanding and diversifying their property investment portfolio.

According to a recent report from Kuwait-based Al Mazaya Holding, public and private sector property projects amounting to AED 100 billion have been announced over the last nine months in Abu Dhabi. Despite this, the report goes on to state, the demand for properties far outstrips supply.

"The booming business environment in the UAE in general and Abu Dhabi in particular has encouraged both inward and outward real estate investment", noted Georges.

UAE participants at IREIS 2008 include Aldar Properties, Sorouh Real Estate, Al Qudra Real Estate, Hydra Properties, Falcon City of Wonders, Mumtalakat Real Estate, Plus Properties, Pearl Properties, Damac Properties and Real Estate Bank.

Sorouh Real Estate will showcase its high class projects including Shams Abu Dhabi, the Gate District and the Al Ghadeer development at the show. Tameer Holdings will display Tameer Tower 1 project. Al Qudra Real Estate will feature it's Evegate and Ain Al Faydaa projects.

IREIS will also witness the launch of several exciting projects including Skygardens, the latest development from Plus Properties. The development is a luxurious waterfront property designed by the world famous architectural firm James Law Cybertecture. Other launches expected at the show include Mumtalakat Real Estate's Manazel Towers 4 and 5 in Sharjah and the Marbella Bay at Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah and an exciting development from Pearl Properties.

Among the international participants at IREIS 2008 are America 2030 Equity LLC from the US, Groupo Alicante Urbana from Spain, Qatar Sotheby's International Realty from Qatar and Hajar Tower Real Estate Company from Kuwait.

Manazel Real Estate is the Platinum Sponsor for the event and Plus Properties the Gold Sponsor.

IRIES 2008 will open daily from 10 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm. On Friday, the show will be open from 4 pm to 9 pm.
