Cars Auto Appraisal Center (CAAC) to inspect Japanese used vehicles from Dubai

CAAC, a part of ETA Star Group, will start offering the new service from February 1, 2008.

The move follows the appointment of JEVIC by Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) to conduct the pre-shipment roadworthiness inspection (RWI) of used motor vehicles from Japan and Dubai, UAE, before they are exported to Kenya.

KEBS recently initiated the move to minimize the risk of unsafe and substandard vehicles entering the Kenyan market, thus ensuring road safety and environment protection in the republic. All used vehicles entering the country should meet the requirements of this important pre-shipment safety inspection.

Commenting on the new assignment that the company has secured, P.S.M. CAAC is located at Shop No. 101, Al Aweer Used Cars Complex, Dubai, and is open from 8am to 5pm, Saturday to Thursday.
