Evolving market conditions prompts CNS re-engineering, GCC expansion earmarked in growth strategy

CNS, (Computer Network Systems), the UAE's leading infrastructure systems integrator, has rolled out a two-year, re-engineered growth strategy including a new corporate identity, which responds to changing market conditions and deliver GCC-wide leadership positioning for the company.
"Increasing sophistication of enterprise customers due to continuous technology innovation and increased technology expertise has led us to embark on effective innovation capabilities through internal resources and external partnerships," said Tony Alam, Managing Director, CNS.
An ISO-certified company, CNS offers infrastructure solutions which include remote and onsite managed services, consulting and IT integration.
"UAE market growth in ICT and increasing competitive pressure from local and international operators mean we have to evolve to seize outstanding opportunities and effectively manage the competition."
CNS, which claims a 14% share of the UAE's ICT market, says it will now hone it on becoming the leading GCC ICT infrastructure integrator.
The company is providing solutions to various government entities and top bank players such as the Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Dubai World, du, Dubai Internet City, Mashreqbank, Commercial of Dubai, Dubal, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), ADNEC, UAE Armed Forces, Ministry of Finance, Department of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affair, Etisalat, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Road And Transport Authority Dubai (RTA), Emirates Bank International, Dubai Islamic Bank, and Sharjah Islamic Bank.
"We will grow our portfolio to cover the overarching ICT stack from consulting, integration and IT management to delivering support and infrastructure," said Alam. "We will extend our coverage of ICT infrastructure technology solutions on network, hardware, infrastructure SW and EFT solutions while increasing customer support capabilities and their alignment with solutions design.
"We are also studying region wide expansion and anticipate having at least a second GCC office by 2008."
Readying to deliver on its new strategy, CNS has revamped its sales structure allowing for increased market coverage and improved technology focus. A new go-to-market approach is being spearheaded by the recent appointment of the industry expert Billy O'Riordan as the company's new Sales and Marketing Director.
"We would like to concentrate of satisfying our customer needs, delivering them world-class products and services. CNS is moving from being a hardware supplier to infrastructure solutions company in an increasingly competitive market environment," O'Riordan stated.
CNS has recently received the 2007 Channel Customer Satisfaction Excellence Certification, the highest distinction for Cisco partners as well as the Certificate of Appreciation as a preferred Sales and Support Partner of the Dubai Police General Department for 2006 and 2007.
Among CNS' numerous accolades are the 2006 Microsoft Gold Partner, 2006 HP Preferred Partner, 2004 Symantec Middle East Partner Award and the Volume Overachievement Award 2007 from Wincor Nixdorf.
