- PRESS RELEASE
Over 100 business professionals participated in a one-day educational workshop on recognising an individual's inner potential, hosted by Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV), regional leaders in human capital management and a member of TECOM Investments.
Reg Athwal FPSA, IFFPS, founder and Chairman of The RAW Group of Companies and an author, executive advisor and an expert speaker, led the workshop with Joanne Simpson, Managing Director of Coaching and Mentoring Middle East, and an inspirational coach, trainer and speaker. The focus areas included unlocking each individual's inner potential and discovering inner strengths while participants were also guided to identify their career and personal objectives. The concept of work-life balance and how it can be achieved was also discussed.
Dr. Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director, Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City, said: "The workshop was part of our endeavour to achieve learning excellence through the exchange of ideas among professionals in the UAE. It also forms part of our corporate social responsibility initiative of providing support to the country's workforce, as we seek to drive Dubai further into a knowledge-based economy."
Eithne Treanor, Dubai-based special correspondent for CNBC Europe, was one of the guest speakers at the event. An accomplished media and presentation trainer who knows how to spot a good communicator, assisted participants on ways to focus on the message and become a sharper communicator with her own tried and tested formula.
Hasan Makansi, Head of Partner Development, Dubai Knowledge Village, said: "Dubai possesses huge individual potential that still remains to be unlocked. This is essential as the fast pace of development cannot be maintained without the steady availability of an efficient and talented workforce.
"Dubai Knowledge Village is at the forefront in developing the human resource potential in the country through initiatives that impart knowledge and expertise. We emphasize on practical applicability of all learning methods to ensure a positive influence on the individual and the community."
