Dubai Bank announces appointment of new HR Manager

Dubai Bank has announced the appointment of Mr Asim Ahmed Al Ali as Human Resources Manager for the bank.

Mr Al Ali brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked at Etisalat Academy in a number of positions over a period of ten years, gaining experience in various HR-relevant fields and functions, including training and staff development.

Dubai Bank CEO, Abdulaziz Al Muhairi, welcomed Mr Al Ali to Dubai Bank, saying, "We are delighted to welcome Mr Al Ali as HR Manager for Dubai Bank. His many distinguished achievements make him eminently suitable, and his extensive experience in training and development will be invaluable to the company."

"Mr Al Ali's appointment reflects the continuing growth of Dubai Bank, and I am confident that his knowledge and expertise will be of tremendous value to us as we continue to improve and expand our operations," he added.

Before leaving Etisalat Academy, Mr Al Ali's most recent position was as Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining Etisalat, he spent five years working as a member of the Manpower Planning and Development team at ADGAS in Abu Dhabi.

Speaking of his appointment, Mr Al Ali said, "I am excited to join a vibrant institution like Dubai Bank and to be given the opportunity to face the challenges involved in working in a company that is expanding so rapidly. The bank's recent performance has been remarkable, and it has made many significant achievements over the past year. I look forward to working with the Dubai Bank team during this exciting period in their development."

Dubai Bank completed its conversion to an ethical and Shari'a-compliant institution in January 2007, and since then, its rapid expansion has led to the opening of ten additional branches throughout the UAE, and the launching of a number of new Shari'a-compliant products and services.
