Avaya recognizes excellence of Middle East channel partners

Avaya a global leader in business communications applications, systems and services, today announced the recipients of its MENA Business Partner Awards, recognizing excellence among the growing community of Middle East-based channel partners.

During Avaya's annual Business Partner conference held from January 21-22 in Dubai, a total of 13 awards were presented to Enterprise and SME partners and individuals for various accomplishments during 2007. Over 300 executives attended the event to learn about the company's vision and strategy for 2008. At the culmination of the two-day event, Avaya leadership presented UAE-based Future Technology with the Business Partner of the Year 2007 award, and newcomer to Avaya's partner network - Proligix was presented with the SME Business Partner of the Year award for surpassing many partners in revenue and the level of expertise in the team.

Orascom Technology Systems won the Contact Centre of the Year award and Jawad Sultan Technology, Oman, bagged the Unified Communications award, while Jeraisy Computers & Communications Services, Saudi Arabia, won Customer Transformation award.

The SME Distributor Award was awarded to APTEC Gulf, the Financial Sector award went to A.S Bughshan & Bros for winning new business in the regions growing financial sector. ATCOM took home Competitive Displacement of the Year award for displacing the competition in key sectors for Avaya. LOJAIN Communications and Networking was accredited with the Industry Transformation award, while Fakhro Electronics WLL was handed the Best Customer Support award for SME's.

"2007 was a year of growth for Avaya and our partners have played a significant role," said Roger El-Tawil, channel and marketing director for Avaya MENA.

"We launched new products, and our partners did an excellent job at deploying them, leading to many organisations switching to Avaya's solutions.
