'As the biggest exhibition in the sultanate for the building and construction industry, Interiors & Buildex 2008 is the perfect venue for us to launch our latest range of designer tiles,' said Masoud bin Humaid Al Harthy, Chairman of Al Maha Ceramics.
The company, which is part of Al Anwar Holdings SAOG, has built a world-class manufacturing facility of wall and floor tiles. Its plant at the Sohar Industrial Area is equipped with advanced technology and state-of-the-art machinery. Using imported raw materials from Italy and Spain, it has a production capacity of up to 5 million square meters of tiles per annum.
According to General Manager Suresh Deshmukh, Al Maha Ceramics gives particular attention to constant innovation to effectively serve the needs of its customers. The company's new range of designer tiles includes glazed wall and floor tiles that are available in a variety of shades and innovative designs to suit every décor. It has also developed large-format wall tiles, in addition to regular ones, thus giving customers a much wider choice for all their building requirements.
He revealed that, as part of its comprehensive expansion plans, Al Maha Ceramics is focused not only in boosting its local market share but also in exporting its products to all other countries in the GCC as well as to Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. The company is likewise looking at India as major potential market for its high-quality products.
'The strong presence of Al Maha Ceramics at Interiors & Buildex 2008 will clearly indicate the company's firm determination to be a major player in its industry sector,' said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading organiser of trade and consumer shows in the sultanate. 'Their participation will ensure that professionals in Oman's building and construction industry will be able to find everything they need in the exhibition.'
Paul explained that Interiors & Buildex will showcase a wide range of products including all types of building materials, bathroom fittings, air-conditioning systems, construction equipment, paint products, interior furnishings, lighting fixtures, and cement products. Many leading companies from Oman as well as exhibitors from Turkey, UAE, the UK, Spain and many other countries have already signed up for the event, making it the premier exhibition for the building and construction industry in Oman.
Interiors & Buildex 2008 is supported by Windows 2000 as the platinum sponsor, Jotun Paints and Sadolin Paints as the gold sponsors, and IQue as the silver sponsor.
