Citi supports American Mission Hospital, provides $30,000 grant

The $30,000 grant by the Citi Foundation will be utilised to finance "Community Outreach" events which aim to reduce health problems through a rigorous health awareness programme. This is in line with the growing health risks experienced by the lower income sectors of the Bahraini community and among residents, especially chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and elevated cholesterol levels.

All events will take place at the social centres identified by the Ministry of Social Development. The hospital will conduct a minimum of 5 events (with up to 200 patients at each event) at the social centres around the island.
