Lebanese singer Elissa not banned
Egypt: Monday, February 04 - 2008 at 08:24
Muneer Al Waseemi, head of the Egyptian Musician Union, has denied rumors that he has banned Lebanese singer Elissa from entering Egypt and performing in it. Muneer stressed that the news is merely a rumor and that he has never received any complaints against the singer to take such actions. Muneer added that such a decision cannot be taken unless he receives an official complaint against someone and an investigation is done, especially since he insists on carrying out his responsibilities according to regulations.
