- PRESS RELEASE
The Smart Villages Company (SVC) is expanding its role as a leading provider of business parks through its participation in Cairo ICT 2008.
"Cairo ICT is an excellent venue for us to build on our strong relationship with technology companies, but also to show the business communities that there are many avenues of cooperation that can enhance their operations," said Smart Villages Company Chairman Dr. Aly El Hefnawy.
SVC, the model in Egypt for public-private sector partnerships to conceptualize, plan and deliver operational and profitable business parks, is using its expertise gained from the enormous success of the country's first Smart Village on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road to offer similar platforms around the country for the business community.
"We are pleased to have the Smart Villages Company at Cairo ICT 2008 because they are truly a pioneer in Egypt in helping the business community have the best technology at their disposal," said Ossama Kamal, CEO of TradeFairs International, the organizer of Cairo ICT.
The Cairo ICT 2008 forum, the premier event in the region for professionals to network with each other, is held from the 24th to the 27th of February under the auspices of H.E. Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) Dr. Tarek Kamel in the Cairo International Conference Center (CICC). This year's forum will cover various aspects of the slogan "The M Power," relating to Mobility, Media, Money and Management.
"In the last several years we have witnessed every industry converge with technology and Cairo ICT has expanded to reflect that development," Kamal said. "The Smart Villages Company has also seen interest in its services expand beyond technology companies, so we hope to work together at Cairo ICT 2008 to focus on the importance of technology to empower businesses and people's lives."
The state of the art infrastructure in Smart Village Cairo with its Hassle-Free Business Environment has become one of Cairo's landmarks for the business community. The Smart Village Cairo provides world-class professional conveniences including 24/7 broadband fiber optic connectivity and uninterrupted power supply within the most ideal office space for conducting business activities.
"In today's world businesses need access to the highest level of technology infrastructure and Cairo ICT will be an opportunity to show that the Smart Villages Company is an unparalleled expert in that field," El Hefnawy said. "At Cairo ICT 2008 we will show how superior business parks such at those developed by the Smart Villages Company can be utilized by any company, particularly those working in the financial sector, to empower their activities."
The Smart Villages Company will oversee the development of Egypt's newest logistical business park, Smart Village Damyetta. This new park will cater to small and medium sized enterprises in Damyetta while ensuring superior facilities for both local and international stakeholders.
Furthermore, the MCIT recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Sophia Antipolis Park, an area in France dedicated to development, research and business activities surrounding science and technology. The MOU will help Egyptian and French counterparts cooperate. Meanwhile, Orange Business Services will eventually establish a Center for Technological Innovation at the Smart Village Cairo.
"The trend worldwide has been to deliver business parks for companies that require the best technology and services," El Hefnawy said. "We plan to highlight this fact at Cairo ICT to the business community."
