Versar, Inc. awarded $3.5m in additional Iraq Construction Management and Quality Assurance work

VERSAR, Inc. announced that the U.S. Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE) awarded Versar a $3.5m task order modification for expanded Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Construction Management and Quality Assurance operations in Iraq.

This modification will fund Versar's international operations subsidiary, Versar International Assistance Projects (VIAP) to provide engineering support, construction management and quality assurance operations at nine (9) additional project sites in Iraq through
September, 2008.

VIAP has over 350 American, third country and local nationals providing construction management, quality assurance, engineering studies, feasibility and site assessments for well over 100 project sites throughout Iraq. VIAP also provides technical training and certification to improve the quality of projects and increase the level of expertise of engineers within Iraq.

Dr. Ted Prociv, Versar's President and CEO, stated,

"This award affirms the importance of Versar's continued efforts in supporting the reconstruction work in Iraq. Our team, headed by Bill Johnson and Davy Daniels , has provided innovative solutions to help manage the large number of projects being performed across the country. We will continue to use these tools to diversify our international work."
