The contract will see the construction of key elements of Bahrain Bay's infrastructure such as its road networks, water network, sewage, storm drainage and irrigation water networks, as well as its telecommunications installation system and bridge network.
Bob Vincent, CEO of Bahrain Bay, said, "Our latest supplier contract speaks volumes about the ambition of Bahrain Bay. The scale of the waterfront community we are creating is underlined by the fact that AMA will create more than 6km of road network, over 4.5km of storm drainage and a 5km telecommunications installation system. AMA will also build the four main bridges of Bahrain Bay, all of which connect key components of the project and the Manama foreshore. Mr Jalal Ahmed Mansoor Al A'Ali, Vice Chairman of AMA Construction, said, "Our appointment as the main infrastructure contractor continues our relationship with the Bahrain Bay project, building on our current role for the construction of the key walls for the project."
