Headlining the 'House of Wood' range are exquisite new hardwood products such as Snakewood, Birch Burl, Cocobolo, King Rosewood, Black Palmira and Olive, which are expected to gather high interest from interior designers and consultants who are looking for variety in elements to use in their projects. The newly launched hardwoods will be sourced from the finest forests from around the globe, including Africa, America, India, Germany, Romania and Russia. Danube's latest product range launch follows that of the highly successful 'House of Laminates', which has seen tremendous market demand due to the exemplary quality of the European products under this brand, namely DUROPAL (Germany), OBERFLEX (France) and POLYREY (France) amongst others.
"We are confident that the market reception for the 'House of Wood' will be another overwhelming success for us. Recognising the immense prospects in introducing our new offering in a high impact event such as the Dubai Woodshow, the focus of our participation is to generate brand awareness and build stronger consumer relationships. Specifically, our presence at the event is centred at maximising the presence of interior designers, consultants and representatives from joineries, who are our direct market for hardwoods and laminates,"
said Rizwan Sajan, Chairman, Danube Building Materials.
As a part of Danube's global growth strategy, the company has undertaken several expansion activities in terms of facilities and product development, which include its recently announced investment of $15m for the construction of three new manufacturing facilities in the Punan Industrial Economic Development Zone in Lianyungang Port, China. In addition, the leading building materials company has also announced its plans to invest Dhs100m in the UAE steel industry in 2008, in a bid to leverage the burgeoning demand in the country, which currently expends 5 million tons of steel rebars annually.
