An ECRU wedding dress worth AED150,000 is attracting high levels of interest from visitors to The Bride Show Abu Dhabi.
ECRU, an exclusive and distinguished fashion house in the UAE, which has designed for the KuwaitI Royal family and VIPs in the Middle East, has created the wedding dress using more than 200,000 genuine Swarovski crystals. Ankur Batra, designer, said the dress took more than three months to complete and is one of his most intricate designs yet.

In the popular fashion shows, one of the region's most celebrated fashion designers, Beenas Collection, today launched a brand new range of Abayas and Sheilas, along with a new collection of Jalabiyas, exclusively at its fashion show at The Bride Show Abu Dhabi.

The fashion house, which has recently expanded in Abu Dhabi, is renowned in the UAE for its non-traditional Jalabiyas designs with Swarovski crystals but has created the new line of Abayas and Sheilas to meet demand from customers and in doing so, has marked a new era for the brand in tradition and custom.

The new range is available to view at The Bride Show Abu Dhabi until Friday 8 February in Halls 5,6 and 7 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

"Our clients have always responded very well to our non-traditional jalabiyas but we have noticed more and more customers request our distinctive designs in their traditional, national dress," said Beena Soni, the designer and owner of Beenas Collection. "I felt it was time to honour my customers' requests and am proud to launch the new Abaya and Sheila range at The Bride Show Abu Dhabi."

The Bride Show Abu Dhabi is showcasing regional and international fashion talent all week with its popular fashion shows, taking place every evening from 5pm. Sixteen fashion shows are on offer, the largest number ever to be held in one event in the UAE capital.

The Bride Show Abu Dhabi not only helps to launch new fashion houses and supports local businesses, but brings them together with the leading brands in the Middle East, such as Ghanati Couture Dubai, one of the first domestic haute couture houses to be founded in the country.

The legendary House of Ghanati creates wedding gowns and evening wear for celebrities, national and regional Royals as well as prominent UAE women. Its much-awaited fashion show is set to be showcased at The Bride Show Abu Dhabi this week.

Other fashion shows include Arabesque Sheilas & Abayas, a trendy French brand synonymous with Parisian glamour, which will unveil exclusive bridal creations, designed by Judith Duriez for the occasion, and Scalini Fashion Design, whose winter collection 2008 was inspired by the flamboyance of the 1950's and envisions absolute elegance in today's style.

With two days left of fashion shows and demonstrations unveiling both traditional and modern bridal looks as portrayed by a cluster of leading names, and many of the over 200 exhibitors offering exclusive discounts, The Bride Show Abu Dhabi provides the perfect venue for all women who enjoy fashion and beauty.

Visitors at the event have been able to sample and purchase the exclusively created Scent of the Bride Show, designed by the team at Abu Haleeqa Stores, as well as enter competitions to win an exotic honeymoon, a wedding gown and a diamond ring.

Exhibitors have come together in Abu Dhabi from across the UAE and the Middle East, Europe, India and the Far East, to promote a broad range of wedding services, including beauty and hair ideas, photography and video production, floral and stage design, wedding stationary, and cakes and confectionary. The Bride Show Abu Dhabi is open from 3pm-11pm until Friday 8 February.
