Paspaley unfurls an eclectic spread of dazzling one-off pieces

  • United Arab Emirates: Thursday, February 07 - 2008 at 08:49
  • PRESS RELEASE

Paspaley, the pearling pioneer of the world and jeweller par excellence spreads a tempting array of rare, one-off pieces such as drop earrings, chandelier earrings, pendant chains, charm bracelets and rings combining an eclectic array of precious materials such as white gold, diamonds, rubies and the star of them all, its fabulous South Sea pearls.

Underscored by a design artistry that is unusual, each of these jewels displays Paspaley's well know prowess as a jeweller of merit sought by the world's most beautiful women.

"Paspaley once more proves its mastery with scintillating jewels for this season. The avant garde spread is sure to appeal to women who seek a different expression from the tried and tested with its defined flair that goes well with the aspirations of the young. This array of jewels is sure to be liked by the teen generation of today", said Mr. Tawhid Abdullah, Managing Director, Damas Jewellery.

It offers three fetching sets of earrings, two drop earrings and one chandelier earring featuring white gold, diamonds, rubies and awesome South Sea pearls. The first set inspired by a four-petalled flower, richly encrusted with pave diamonds, in a hollow cross-like pattern dangling one tempting pearl. This in turn falls from a smaller, four-petalled stud of diamonds on its wearer's ear lobe. The dazzle of the stones is perfectly off set by the pearly luster of the gem from the sea, to make this a truly bewitching piece.

The second drop earring plunges longer by literally twirling down from its vertical stud, to dangle its precious merchandise, the South Sea pearl. Pave diamonds sparkle along the entire length of the jewel in this novel piece. The third piece is a chandelier earring that transforms a pearl stud into a most unusual design, where five 'streams' of white metal, studded with tiny diamonds and rubies at intermittent points drop down, with the middle 'stream' reaching the wearer's shoulder! This is definitely a jewel for the bold.

Paspaley proves the irresistible power of its gem from the sea in a charm bracelet that fits its name. Here oval, pave diamond links dangle select, hand-picked South Sea pearls. Arresting and attractive, this bold piece may get more than your fair share of attention ( not just on your wrist).

You can team it with a marine-life inspired ring offering a single precious South Sea pearl in a piece that 'curves' a thick band around your finger. Its smooth finish and craftsmanship effortlessly speaks of Paspaley's stature as a jeweller. A fact once more evident, in its two pendant chains featuring slim white gold chains with floral pendants, boasting frond-like petals enclosing pearl buds of white and golden hues. The design appears to arch and sway in a down-turned pattern that's very becoming.

Each of Paspaley's jewels epitomizes its flair for the rare, the untouched realms of artistry which pushes the borders of design even further. This is its continued appeal among women of all ages and most importantly, tastes. Selecting from its jewels is to partake in creativity's finest moments and to come away with something you'll cherish all your life.

Paspaley's latest creations are now available at its exclusive boutiques in Dubai.

About Paspaley:

Paspaley is the world's leading South Sea pearl company, growing the finest quality pearls in the world.

Behind the simplicity and singular beauty of Paspaley South Sea pearls is a journey that began more than 70 years ago on the remote and unspoiled coastline of northern Australia.

Paspaley's involvement in pearling dates back to 1935 when Nicholas Paspaley's father, Nicholas Paspaley Senior MBE, first collected mother-of-pearl shell in Australia's northern waters. He established a family concern that has evolved to become the world's leading South Sea pearling company. Paspaley is still proudly family-owned and operated.

Paspaley nurtures its pearls on a remote network of over 20 farms, stretching more than 2500km across the pristine waters off the northwest coast of Australia - about the same distance as London to Moscow.

Paspaley's pioneering techniques have been widely acknowledged as world's best practice, positioning the company name at the forefront of the pearling industry.

Consistent quality and supply are the hallmarks of Paspaley - a reputation achieved only through an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of excellence and the principles of quality.

These standards have ensured Paspaley South Sea pearls are much sought after by the world's leading jewellery houses and has made the Paspaley name synonymous with the most beautiful pearls in the world.
