Accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Lab undergoes a rigorous CAP accreditation process which includes a regular on-site inspection to confirm the ongoing quality of the services and testing processes being provided.

'In addition to ensuring accurate testing results, the laboratory management team has consistently looked for ways to provide a more effective service in the face of rapidly growing test volume and test menu complexity, by being responsive to patients' and our physicians'

'We continuously monitor strategic key performance and quality indicators addressing issues such as turnaround times, critical result notification, patient identification, and appropriate blood product utilization. The key to our success is the willingness of the entire lab team to adapt to new ideas or technologies and modify the process when needed, creating an environment of continuous quality improvement and increased patient safety, and physician and patient satisfaction.'

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at American Hospital Dubai is a full service laboratory staffed by nearly 40 professionals including pathologists, and clinical lab scientists (medical technologists).
