The Regal Indian experience with Zahara Holidays

Zahara Holidays, outbound division of leading travel specialists Zahara Travel and Services Bureau, has announced the launch of their signature package 'The Regal Experience', a meticulously designed to bring to life and let you experience the magnificent and mystical lifestyle of the Maharajas.

India has always been portrayed as an attractive tourism destination, but Zahara Holidays is keen to provide visitors with a lifetime experience to this country rich in its history, culture and heritage.

Elaborating on their interest in developing this package, Sameer Kukreja, Manager - Zahara Holidays says, "We have seen a tremendous increase in tourism to India over the past several years. With expanding cultural and business ties between the Sultanate and India, we understand that our travelers are extremely interested in getting to know and experience India's culture and heritage and witness the majestic landmarks."

The group departs from Muscat on 20th March 2008 for a seven day trip to explore the four North Indian cities of Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Samode. The tour begins with an excursion around the capital city of Delhi - a city renowned for its historic past and its vibrant present. Famous for its monuments such as the India Gate, Qutab Minar and Lotus Temple, the visit is a fascinating and rewarding experience. Leaving behind the hustles and bustles of city life, the group then heads for the medieval city of Agra, famed as the capital of the Mughal Empire. A guided visit to the world famous Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort, an extravagant and grandiose reminder of the Mughal-era architecture, are highlights of the trip. The city tour of Agra is followed by a traditional evening with music and candlelit dinner on the lawns of Taj Khema, overlooking the splendid Taj Mahal.

For the next two days, the India travel trip focuses on the pink city - Jaipur and its surrounding areas, and feature a visit to the Amber Fort with its huge ramparts & watchtowers, overlooking the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, an elephant ride all the way to the Fort entrance, a leisure afternoon at the city and dinner at the monumental City Palace of Jaipur. A visit to the tranquil and elegant grounds of Samode Bagh for high tea, followed by a gala dinner at the Samode Castle at an evening filled with folk dances, music and fire works top the itinerary. The luxury travel in India concludes by returning to Delhi for a day of relaxation and exploration round the city before heading back to Muscat.

The packaged tour includes return business class airfare from Muscat to Delhi accommodation; breakfast and meals as per the itinerary; plus sightseeing and transfers in large A/C Volvo coaches.
