Dr Moopen's Group to invest in Oman

Dubai-based health service provider Dr Moopen's Group plans to invest up to RO6m ($15.6m) in Oman over the next three years to set up hospitals and clinics in the country, reported Khaleej Times. The group is planning a RO50m expansion in the GCC. "We are seriously considering coming to Oman in a big way... We have large expansion plans here," group Chairman Dr Azad Moopen said in Muscat yesterday. Founded Set up some 20 years ago, the group boasts one of the largest network of multi speciality clinics and pharmacies in the region, branded as 'Medcentre' and 'Medshop', respectively. It operates three hospitals in Dubai and India and a healthcare consultancy division at the Dubai Healthcare City.
