"We have initiated this sms campaign for 'Korea Sparkling' our brand new travel show. This show is an ideal launch pad for the interactive sms component on City 7 TV especially since the show is supported by the Government of Korea and the multi-national corporation LG. With the participation of these world class organisations this sms campaign does not only offer interactivity but amazing prizes courtesy of KNTO and LG," said Mr Ron Kapadia, COO and Executive Director of City 7 TV.

Viewers can win these prizes by simply watching 'Korea Sparkling' every Wednesday, from 9-9:30pm on City 7 TV and answering the question posted during the programme. To take part, simply text in the word 'KOREA' plus your name and the correct answer to 6300. Every correct answer entitles you a chance to win the free trip. The trip to Korea is inclusive of five days and four nights stay in a 5-star hotel and LG Electronics home appliances and electronics ranging from a 42" plasma screen television to MP3 players and latest mobile phones.

This competition runs for three months, which gives the viewers ample time to participate and a better chance of winning. The last date of entry will be 19th March, 2008.

This promotional campaign is City 7 TV's dedication to give the audience more viewing pleasure and an attempt to bridge the gap between the different cultures of the UAE and the MENA region along with those of the Korean people.

"Similarly, in most of the multitude of our new shows as well as existing offerings, we have enabled an sms campaign for the station to develop a higher degree of interactivity, participation and reward for our existing and potential viewers across the footprint (which extends from Pakistan in the east, Nigeria in the south east as well as all the countries of North Africa extending to the UK in the west, the Nilesat 101 beam is available with a 3m dish in the UK too!). Being the unique English language local TV station for the UAE, City7TV aspires to be the international TV & online media vehicle to fulfil the vision of our Chairman, Mr.Mohi-din Bin Hendi in taking the UAE to the world. The ultimate aim is to be able to take the UAE to the world and thereby bring the world to the UAE!" Mr. Kapadia added.
