- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai will once again host the Pedigree and Whiskas Pet Show, taking place for the 20th time on Saturday, February 16, 2008.
Pet owners can enjoy a great day out with their dogs and learn how best to give them the care and attention they need to live long and healthy lives. Animal lovers can watch the different competitions such as the Pedigree classes as well as the fun obstacle course, as well as learn about different breeds of cats and dogs. Welfare organisations such as K9 Friends and Feline Friends will benefit from a boost to their funds.
From mixed breeds to rare breeds, pampered lapdogs to highly-trained working dogs - pet-owners and animal lovers will see an impressive parade of all that is best in man's best friend.
The event has grown to become the biggest of its kind in the Middle East since it was first staged in 1988.
"The Pedigree and Whiskas Pet Show aims to raise the awareness levels of responsible pet ownership and educate people in the joys of animal companionship, all in a setting that is fun and interactive for the whole family," said Maya Theodory, pet care manager at Mars, the show's sponsors.
