Sales grew by 25% in 2007 which illustrates the outstanding attraction to BMW, Rolls - Royce, ALPINA and MINI here in Qatar and is increasingly remarkable considering the record profits recorded in 2006. Qatar became the second fastest growing dealership in the GCC for 2007, demonstrated by the soaring sales of the ever popular BMW 7 Series, which recorded an impressive rise of 22%, closely followed by the BMW X5 with 21% increase in sales.

Mr. Naim Majdalani, Director of Sales and Marketing for Alfardan Automobiles went on to comment, "The spectacular annual growth just goes to illustrate the huge demand for BMW vehicles in Qatar. The continued increase in sales can be directly attributed to BMW's superior driving pleasure and the dedicated after sales service established by Alfardan Automobiles." "Alfardan's impressive sales record is attributed to the company's huge investment in people with the ability to deliver Alfardan's goal of 'providing the ultimate ownership experience' to customers," added Majdalani.

"The continued growth that Alfardan Automobiles is currently experiencing, is naturally assisted by the unprecedented economic boom that is occurring within Qatar's economy, " said Mr. Majdalani. "Foreign investors have the confidence to deploy capital in Qatar thanks to its solid fundamentals, fueling faster growth and consequently leading to a large influx of skilled expatriates."

Alfardan Automobiles' venture into the luxury transportation segment has also met with remarkable success, further increasing revenues for 2007. The company continues to build on a flawless reputation as a leader in luxury cars, making BMW the first choice of transportation for any occasion, such as international conferences and sporting contests as well as servicing luxury hotels and government authorities in Qatar. "The 7 Series is by far the car of choice for chauffeuring visiting heads of states, celebrities, athletes and other VIPs visiting Qatar," said Mr. Majdalani. "Its popularity is attributed to its unmatched combination of comfort, luxury and safety"

In the big picture, BMW AG is on track to exceed its international sales target of 1.4 million vehicles in 2008, and aims to consolidate its position as the market leader in the luxury cars with new model introductions, continued innovation, and nurturing partnerships with industry leaders. In Qatar, growth will continue unabated with the opening of the new state of the art BMW showroom this year and the launch of several new models.

On this, Mr. Majdalani commented "Numerous exciting new models are scheduled to be introduced this year, including the all new BMW X6, the first Sports Activity Coupe in the premium luxury segment, and the brand new 7 Series towards the end of the year." He went on to add, "Several other models are also in the pipeline that will serve to further strengthen our position in the market, including the new BMW M3 Sedan, the new 1 Series Convertible & Coupe, and the much awaited MINI Clubman."
