Impact BBDO supports the Saudi Center for Autism

Impact BBDO, one of the region's top creative networks, and under the patronage and attendance of his Highness Prince Khaled Al Faisal, is organizing a charitable art exhibition for two consecutive days, starting on the 12th of February 2008, at Jeddah Hilton.

Impact BBDO organizes an art exhibition on a yearly basis, the exhibition usually includes portrayals drawn by the creative staff at BBDO aiming at raising funds for the charity organizations, in addition to supporting versatile humane and social services.

Impact BBDO had dedicated this year's exhibition to support the Saudi Center for Autism in Jeddah, in a view to spot the light on the autistic patients who deserve better concern and acknowledgement, besides directing the public's and private sector's attention to the desperate need of this social group for more sustaining especially after reaching 140 thousand patients in Saudi Arabia as per the latest research results.

Aboud Shami, Impact BBDO's Group Managing Director, stated the honor and gratitude for the attendance of his highness Prince Khaled to inaugurate the art exhibition. Shami stressed that this exhibition is a part of the company's dedication to the charitable deeds that serve the society of this providing country.

Commenting on allotting the art exhibition funds to the Saudi Center for Autism, Aboud Shami said: "Supporting autistic patients initiative was based on a deep research that has been conducted on this disease, its spread in the Kingdom, and the public's awareness level, as we found a keen necessity to alert the society about the autistic patients as we were shocked with the increase of the disease in Saudi Arabia every year."

"The exhibition will host Jeddah's high profile people, a number of businessmen and women, and visitors from the Arabic communities residing in the Kingdom," added Shami.

The Saudi Center for Autism has been established on the 1st of January 2007 with the participation of the center's director Mrs. Najlaa' Halfawi, and Mrs. Soha Al Saadi, the executive programs director, in a view to supply the country and activate the autistic child's role throughout offering the best services on an international and Arabic scale. The center which has capacity for 13 patients provides the educational programs that suit each patient's requirements.

It's worth mentioning that the company had organized two art exhibitions during year 2000-2004 of which funds were allocated to the Disabled Children Association in Jeddah, in addition to its efficient contribution in the charitable campaigns alongside with its clients.
