Studio 2 has a floor area of 300 sqmt and is fully acoustically treated, as are the control rooms and voiceover booths. The studio is equipped with three cameras, but is fully wired to handle a six-camera operation.
Taj Television's Studio 2 is significantly larger than the majority of studios in the region. It features a fully configurable lighting grid using 76 assorted ARRI lights on pantographs powered by a 96 channel ADB dimmer system, and controlled by Mentor control desk, with water-level flooring, one full black and two green curtains, four wallboxes for convenient connectivity, a props storage bay, two voiceover booths and a green room.
The new studio will help Taj Television accommodate its growing number of channel and production clients. Studio 1 is completely booked by leading channels like DirecTV USA, YesTV, ART Prime Sports, Starhub Singapore, City7TV as well as Taj TV's Ten Sports' Channels.

The new facility is absolutely state-of-the-art, and given the limited top-quality studio space in the region, will see great demand from various television channels and independent program producers.'
Some of the advanced equipment utilised in Studio 2 are Ikegami cameras, Vinten Pedestals, Autoscript prompting, wireless talkback and audio monitoring, large mobile LCD displays for vision monitoring and wireless network connectivity.
The Production Control Room features a Ross Video Synergy3 3ME vision switcher with 100-hour clip server, LCD flat panel monitor wall using Evertz multiviewers, Genelec audio monitors, QC station using Harris Videotek VTM Waveform/Vector rasterizer and Wohler audio monitor, VizRT and Beehive Systems Wasp3D graphics and production server control for additional clip playout and slomo.
The Audio Control Room features a 56-channel Yamaha DM-2000 digital console, CD player, Minidisc Recorder, external effects processor, external quad compressor/gate/limiter, Genelec audio monitors and a six-line hybrid telephone system for phone ins.

Taj Television Limited, owners of Ten Sports, the Indian sub-continent's most popular sports channel, has unveiled its state-of-the-art studio 2 at the company's sprawling operations base in Dubai Media City.
