The course aimed at introducing the best HR international practices in order to help HR managers realize the general plan for developing human resources in the departments and institutions of the Dubai Government.

Such initiative is part of the efforts exerted by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council with a view to enabling the directors of governmental departments to comprehend the methodology of HR management in governmental departments and institutions, thus enhancing their understanding of the requirements of the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015, and consequently contributing to support the plans and projects of the Dubai Government aiming at developing human resources in governmental institutions.

Such a course and the commitment demonstrated by the directors and employees is the cornerstone of a new stage of the shape of the relationship between the directors of governmental departments and the HR managers in such departments. The course succeeded to introduce HR concepts and tools to those working outside such areas.
Besides, the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015 requires qualitative changes to be done concerning the HR management strategies in various governmental departments and institutiions.

This is the first time that the directors of governmental departments ever adopt an integral HR academic programme in which they receive a six-month specialized training course at the end of which they are granted a certified international certificate next June.

The initiative is part of the plan carried out by the Executive Council aiming at developing the governmental human efficiencies insuring their contribution to enhance their departments' performance. The Executive Council has allocated AED 1.5 million for developing governmental HR skills provided that such training programmes should include directors of governmental departments.
