"Dubai Maritime City has been planned with the welfare of residents as the main consideration. Providing amenities for a premium standard of living boosts the maritime city's reputation as a premier investment and business destination,"
said Amer Ali, CEO, Dubai Maritime City.
"Dubai Maritime City is steadily taking shape and gradually revealing its high level of sophistication, and we are delighted to have achieved such an excellent pace with the infrastructure development," Ali added.
Excavation works for the district cooling are almost complete, along with excavation and pipe laying for the Water Division. Sewerage excavation works are also ahead of schedule with pipe laying nearing completion. Moreover, a number of helipads throughout the project are also planned for, along with street lighting and landscaping, which will be tailored to include custom-made, stylish street furniture.
Once completed, Dubai Maritime City will also feature optimised car parking facilities that minimise on-street parking, strategically placed phone booths all over the city, and public service facilities customised for the disabled. Also integrated into the mega project are jogging routes, children's play areas, fishing facilities and recreational and sports facilities.
Numerous bicycle parking areas are also in the development plan, while a vehicle-free pedestrian promenade will be developed to encourage a healthy lifestyle. The superb living conditions complement Dubai Maritime City's attractive business and investment incentives such as free-zone benefits, proactive government support, tax-free business environment and an effective port structure.
"Every detail required to develop a fully integrated, luxurious maritime community has been meticulously addressed. Dubai Maritime City is right on track to fulfilling its mission of becoming the central maritime hub in the region and a powerhouse in the global maritime industry," said Ali.
Dubai Maritime City has recently outlined the development plans for the first phase of its new marina berth project. A marine consultant has been commissioned to conduct a pre-construction wave study, ensuring the safety of the marina berths, which the City intends to launch.
On completion, DMC will encompass Harbour Offices, Harbour Residences, the Maritime Centre, an Academic Quarter, a Marina District, and the industrial quarter managed by Jadaf Dubai. DMC will also showcase the UAE's first National Maritime Museum, a range of iconic infrastructure, and the Gulf region's largest ship lift for ship repair and maintenance. Moreover, DMC offers investors attractive incentives such as free-zone benefits, responsive government support and a tax-free business environment.
