UNB sponsors Tawdheef - Abu Dhabi's annual recruitment fair - for second successive year

Union National Bank (UNB), one of the UAE's leading local banks, is the platinum sponsor of Tawdheef, the annual recruitment fair that is taking place 12-14 February 2008 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The event will be an important occasion for us to meet with national graduates, brief them on the banking industry and highlight career opportunities at UNB", said Abdullah Alrashedi Head of Resources & Emeritization Division at UNB

"UNB has ambitious growth plans and several opportunities exist for committed individuals who wish to pursue a career in banking. Besides providing a learning and performance-oriented work environment, we offer career-oriented training courses and plenty of opportunities for employees to grow in the various branches of the profession", added Alrashedi.

At the three-day Tawadheef event, UNB officials will be on hand to provide candidates with an overview on the banking industry and job requirements. Interested candidates can leave their contact details with staff at the UNB stand and after an initial screening process, the applicants will be contacted for a written test and interviews in the coming weeks.

UNB has adopted the total quality management concepts and methodologies, quality management systems and a business excellence framework. A strong testament to this was when the Bank won the 2004 / 2005 Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, Gold category and the 2005 Dubai Quality Award in the financial sector.

In 2002, UNB became the first bank of its size in the Middle East to be ISO 9001:2000 certified across its entire operations in the UAE by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance for its Quality Management Systems under the terms set out by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service - UKAS - scheme. This certificate was renewed during 2005 and the bank is poised for recertification during 2008 demonstrating commitment to Quality and continuous improvement.
