Tanmia extends support to 'Tawdheef 2008', the Abu Dhabi Recruitment Show

Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority, has announced that it is currently participating in 'Tawdheef 2008', the second Abu Dhabi Recruitment Show, being held from February 12 to 14 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

Tanmia is participating in the show for the second time.

The three-day event features seminars, exhibits and networking opportunities for UAE Nationals to interact directly with employers, recruiters and managers from several of the region's leading companies. 'Tawdheef 2008' has gathered organizations from various sectors, including the government, financial services, training, education, recruitment agencies, hospitality and tourism, oil and gas, commerce and trade groups, transport, aviation and others.

"Tanmia had a very fruitful participation in 'Tawdheef' last year, where we facilitated the recruitment of a large number of UAE Nationals, and we are certain to achieve our objectives during 'Tawdheef 2008' as well. The event presents the right platform for UAE public and private sector companies to interact with National jobseekers and hire the most suitable candidates for available vacancies. Tanmia is committed to provide the best employment opportunities for UAE Nationals and to significantly enhance their contribution to the country's economic development by making them an integral part of the workforce," said Feddah Lootah, Acting General Manager, Tanmia Office in Dubai.

During 'Tawdheef 2008', Tanmia representatives are providing valuable information to participating companies and visitors about Tanmia's services. Tanmia is also focusing on educating jobseekers visiting Tanmia's stand about making use of the Authority's comprehensive web portal that helps Nationals access the job market.

Organised by Al-Hader Exhibitions & Conferences, 'Tawdheef 2008' has attracted sponsorship from several reputed organisations such as Union National Bank, Abu Dhabi Emiratisation Council, Du, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, ADNOC, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Al-Qudra Holding, Sorouh, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, Transco and Bayt.com. The event is supported by Tanmia, ADNEC and UAE University.

About Tanmia:
Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development & Employment Authority in the UAE, was established by a Presidential decree in November 1999, to address the imbalance in the labour market, due to excessive dependence on expatriate workforce. Tanmia is engaged in a coordinating role, between national job seekers and employers in the private and government sectors, to facilitate increased entry of nationals in the labour market.
