Dubai Knowledge Village hosts Leadership Training for Young Arab Leaders 'Top Talent Camp'

Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV), a member of TECOM Investments, hosted participants of the Young Arab Leaders (YAL) Top Talent Camp for a half-day session of high level leadership training on 30 January.

Four joint young professional teams of 12 Arabs and eight Germans are participating in the 'Top Talent Camp', a joint initiative by Young Arab Leaders (YAL) UAE Chapter and German luxury carmaker Daimler AG. The camp is being held at the American University in Dubai until 31 January.

Dr. Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director, Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City, said: "YAL is a significant initiative for the region as it prepares today's youth to take up leadership roles in tomorrow's highly competitive business world. DKV is pleased to extend its support to the programme, to help nurture promising talent in the region."

Steve Halligan, Managing Director, The Core Group, one of the region's leading leadership and employee motivation consultancies, presented 'The Importance of Developing the Right Leadership Qualities'. The presentation was based on research conducted in the region and other similar global projects that aim to identify the key characteristics necessary to create the right leadership culture to enhance team performance.

Training on globalization, success in a global market place, and global awareness, were the main topics highlighted in another lecture by Stephan Melchior, Managing Director, Wilson Learning UAE, leaders in human performance improvement solutions. Melchior was joined by Omar Shamma Managing Director, Third Eye FZ LLC, marketing excellence and human development consultants, in a presentation entitled 'Social Style in Action'. The workshop provided participants with the knowledge and skills required to encourage a friendly and productive work environment.

Hasan Makansi, Head of Partner Development at Dubai Knowledge Village said: "This initiative amply demonstrates the diverse pool of companies at the Knowledge Village that can cater to human capital requirements.
