Platinum sponsors, Septech Emirates LLC, have contributed towards the expansion of this year's event which will see more than 2000 participants ranging between the ages of 6 to 19 years. This marks a 60 per cent increase in contestants compared to last year, and makes this event the largest rugby tournament in the Middle East outside of the Dubai Rugby 7's.

"We are proud to associate ourselves with one of the largest youth sporting events in the Gulf," said Septech Emirates Vice President for Corporate Development, Ashruf Kamel.

"Septech is known for its association with golf course design and construction and following this association with sport, we thought it was time to take it one step further. And, what better way than encouraging our youth and identifying fresh talent."

This year's tournament will include teams from Sharjah, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Cairo, Azerbaijan and Moscow. Final results will be announced on February 16 at 1pm, and the chief guest for the prize-giving ceremony will be His Highness Sheikh Falah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club.
