naseba MENA Airport Awards 2008 held at the Airport Expansion Mid-East congress in Doha

The awards are designed to recognize the key players in the Middle East and North African aviation industry for their proactive approach to aviation development.

This year, the awards focused on the region's fastest growing and most influential airports Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Muscat, and Bahrain, which were nominated for the six awards. After introducing the ceremony and the nominees, Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax and Philippe Saad from BBC World revealed the winners.

Best Airport and Airline Partnership Award
Best International Transit Award
Best Security Processing Award
Best Duty Free Award
Best Overall Baggage Delivery Award

The Awards were collected by:
Abu Dhabi - Mohammed Abdulla Al Katheeri, the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Abu Dhabi Airport.
Dubai Airport - Rimzie Ismail, Head of Marketing at DCA, Dubai.
Doha - Akbar Al Baker, the CEO of DIA and Qatar Airways.
Bahrain - Hind Bucheery, Head of projects at Bahrain Airport Services.

The naseba MENA Airport Awards organized and hosted every year by naseba, will recognize the region's best experts in the aviation industry.
