  • PRESS RELEASE

Eye of Dubai, the premier tourism and investment guidebook and online portal for Dubai residents and visitors, has announced that it has signed an agreement to provide a full range of marketing and promotional support to the International Property Show (IPS) 2008, as part of a bolstered campaign to attract high-profile investors to Dubai.

IPS 2008 joins several global networking events that have established strategic partnerships with Eye of Dubai, expanding their promotional platform to showcase the emirate's lucrative business environment and consequently boost business tourism in Dubai.

Eye of Dubai's partnership with IPS 2008 is part of a strategy to synergise with prominent exhibitions in the UAE, which will help increase the guidebook's international readership, particularly among business visitors attracted by Dubai's excellent investment climate. According to recent reports, Dubai remains a favourite destination among international investors as it continues to dominate the regional market, with more than $300bn (Dhs1.1 trillion) in prime property projects lined up within the next few years.

"As the foremost online reference and guidebook on investment prospects in Dubai's property market, Eye of Dubai delivers a significant boost to the marketing and promotional initiatives of IPS 2008, particularly in highlighting the most lucrative offerings in Dubai as well in the rest of the country," said Abdullah Al Harbi, CEO, Eye of Dubai.

Eye of Dubai has signed an agreement to be the media partner of the exhibition, providing a comprehensive coverage of IPS 2008 through its online portal, a multi-awarded web platform that has been recognised as one of the best in Dubai. Eye of Dubai guidebooks will also be distributed for free at the event, offering visitors and exhibitors an in-depth and fully animated presentation of various property offerings and investment opportunities within the emirate.

"Eye of Dubai is pleased to have achieved excellent results in our partnerships with major exhibitions in the UAE, as it has been our mission to promote Dubai as a prime destination for investors and business travellers. I believe that our ability to provide a comprehensive outlook of Dubai's investment climate will contribute to the success of IPS 2008," added Al Harbi.

IPS 2008, the region's biggest transactional property exhibition that will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from February 17-19, 2008, serves as the opening salvo to what is shaping up to be another lucrative year in Dubai's real estate sector, which according to research reports is responsible for up to 50% of all property-related activities in the Gulf.

IPS 2008, organised by Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions, offers an excellent opportunity for international investors and property buyers to scout high-yielding investment prospects and new premium properties in Dubai. Additionally, the event will feature other high-profile real estate projects from other parts of the world. IPS 2008 is also expected to sustain the momentum generated by IPS 2007, which attracted 18,764 visitors from 70 countries and facilitated multi-billion dirham deals in a three-day run.

Eye of Dubai offers a wide range of interactive services and other resources related to business, social activities, lifestyle and financial news in Dubai. It has also been a recipient of several awards, including 'Best Website of the Year', 'Gold Award for Best Travel and Tourism Website' and 'Gold Award for Directories and Info Services' at the 2007 UAE Web Wards. It also won 'Best Strategic Website for Travel and Tourism', 'International Standards Web technology Award' and 'Gold Award for Best Travel and Tourism Website' during the Pan Arab Web Awards 2007.
