The congress is working in strategic partnership with BBC World, Airport Cities, architexten24, Aviation Business and Cargo Village News.

The opening up of skies for international airlines combined with the increasing number of budget airlines on the market has led to a significant growth in international air traffic. Major investments in airport expansion are therefore highly required to meet that rising air travel demand, especially in emerging countries. Nations need to plan and build new airports, develop new major terminals and expand aprons and runways. All these new developments will considerably impact on every operation area, from baggage and cargo handling, luggage trolleys, passenger seating, to security and ground support equipments.

Up to 100 invited Middle East Airport Directors and heads of Civil Aviation Authorities are attending the Airport Expansion Mid-East Congress to learn about Airport Expansion and Development Projects through real-life case studies and success stories presented by leading airport directors and industry-renowned experts and source innovative solutions for their projects.

Participants have a chance to capitalize on billions of dollars worth of Middle East Airport expansion projects which are currently in progress.

"We are proud to extend our Airport Expansion line on the Middle East market in 2008 with the Airport Expansion Mid-East Congress. Attendees will be able not only to source solutions from top industry suppliers, but also attend an event that offers re-educational value,"
