Microsoft names Badea Esbai as Country Manager for Bahrain

Microsoft Bahrain announced today the appointment of Mr. Badea Esbai as the company's new country manager.

Mr. Esbai has officially assumed his responsibilities on the 3rd of February 2008.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Esbai held the position of Country Manager of HP for Bahrain and Qatar. He has a strong track record of responding to client needs in the enterprise market across its various sectors and industries.

Microsoft Gulf General Manager, Charbel Fakhoury said Mr Esbai's 18 years experience in the information technology industry places him in good position to lead the Microsoft team in Bahrain.

"Mr. Esbai is a strong leader with a very successful track record in the industry. He has a firm understanding of the regional landscape that will ensure we fulfill our commitment to customers and partners in the Kingdom of Bahrain and help them realize their full potential," said Charbel.

Prior to his role as Country Manager of HP Bahrain and Qatar, Badea held numerous roles in different capacities at HP spanning the entire customer engagement functions. He contributed to the success of the Product Development Center of HP in Munich in his position as Project Manager. Badea started his career with NCR where he spent four year prior to joining HP.

Badea said he was delighted at the opportunity to work closely with the Microsoft Bahrain team.

A passionate golfer, Badea holds an Masters degree in Project Management from George Washington University and a Bachelors of Science Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
