The fair was bustling with activity with international companies and organizations participating. One of the events that took place under the banner of MIF, the India Show, co-organized by FIEO (Federation of Indian Export Organizations), showcased 20 participating companies and 43 individuals from India occupying 23 stalls at the event.
"This being a 1st event of its kind is expected to be just the beginning of a series of similar programs in the years to come. The profile of those who participated matches and tallies well with the local need and market demand. The companies who partook in the event covered a range of products spanning through all industrial sectors like banks and financial institutions, real estate, fashion, chemical industry, food industry and many more. This first attempt as part of the MIF has yielded a satisfactory result, which we hope will follow through in the years to come,"
said Mr. Anand P. Seth, Joint Deputy Director General & Head of 42 member delegation, FIEO.
New concepts and business ideas like Subway and The Living Concepts were introduced as part of the Franchise expo, while Omani Products show created a market presence and awareness for local products and companies such as United Dates Factory, OTE's BOSCH, Al-Hassan Electricals, Dhofar Cattle Feed Company, National Heaters, Sharikah Fanniyah Omaniyan and others. Home & Lifestyle brought to the fore new innovations in the home décor area, illustrated by Oasis Lifestyle and Office Tech introduced new equipments and modern office technology.
"The MIF ended on a satisfactory note and had a healthy crowd comprising of interested public and business people alike. It was a great opportunity for showcasing different business avenues and also in creating a place for the Omani market in the international forefront. We will work to develop, grow and improve the event for exhibitors and visitors alike", says Mr. Najib Al Marhoon, Head-MARCOM, OITE.
The combined exhibition featured leading brands across varied industries like Omar Zawawi Establishment, SUBWAY, Oasis Lifestyle, Malaysia Trade Centre, Al Hassan Electricals Co., Dhofar Cattle Feed Company, National Heaters, Sharikah Fanniyah Omaniyan, United Dates Factory, Federation of Indian Export Organisations, Oman India Fertiliser Company, India Tourism Dubai, Middle East Franchising, RE/MAX Arabia and Portugal based Companhia DA Aqua - Folio Waters to name a few.
