Inflation runs wild in Kuwait

Even as the government debates emergency measures to rein in spiraling inflation in the country, the prices of basic foodstuffs continue to surge in Kuwait, registering more than a 40 per cent rise in the last three months. As a result of the record inflation that hit an annual rate of 7.3 per cent in October, people in this oil-rich state find it hard to balance their monthly family budget, reported Kuwait Times.
