Ministry of Education and Emirates Transport sign agreement to strengthen school transportation

The Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Emirates Transportation (ET), today, signed an agreement to boost the efficiency and transportation services provided by the ET to public schools.
The agreement highlights the necessity of introducing new techniques and procedures to keep up with the increasing demand of public schools for transportation services. Clauses agreed on include: full coverage of public schools on both shifts; schedule of buses; safety and convenience measures; and the establishment of new unit dedicated to cater for the needs and demands of public schools. The unit will be headed by an official representing MoE and the memberships of an official from ET.
HE Al Mansouri said: "We aim to provide the safest and most comfortable transportation services to students in the UAE and we are keen to maintain a strong channel of co-operation with MoE to achieve this. A new unit will be established to supervise, on a day-to-day basis, the proper flow of public school transport. The committee will be headed by an official named by the MoE and membership of another from our side. The committee will attend arising problems or demand and deal with it efficiently and effectively."
Dr. Hassan added: "This agreement reiterates the strong inter-governmental ties and partnerships aimed at offering the UAE community the best of services. We look forward to implementing the clauses and achieving all the goals of the agreement, which will result in more safe and convenient solutions for the transportation needs of the students of the UAE."
