Orange Jordan signs agreement with JRF to revive Rasoun village

As a continuation of the joint project between Orange Foundation, France Telecom (FT)'s corporate social responsibility arm and Orange Jordan, Orange has signed an agreement with the Jordan River Foundation JRF, to support education, health and social reform activities of Rasoun, a remote village situated within Ajloun Governate.
''Today we add another initiative to the existing society initiatives by implementing the joint projects of Orange Foundation in France and Orange Jordan which are directed towards reviving the Jordanian community,'' Mr.Mickael Ghossein said expressing his delight at the continuous achievements endeavored in cooperation with the JRF.
''We are pleased to fulfill the various necessities that the people of Rasoun highly need as we will be providing capacity building and training to local residents," He added.
Ghossein also stressed on Orange Jordan and JTG Foundation's commitment in developing and building the Jordanian communities which comes as part of their responsibility towards the society and their role in providing citizens with optimal means enabling them to benefit from available economic opportunities.
He pointed out that the accord includes the establishment of a bakery, a public transportation bus for residents needing to travel from/to Ajloun and Irbid. Also it provides capacity buildings and training to local residents in Rasoun village, as they need support in establishing and managing income generating projects which in return offers a wider range of job opportunities for both women and men.
For her part, Valentina Qussisiya underlined the significant contribution presented by both Orange Jordan and JRF, and the important role it plays in supporting the community sector, especially the implementation of integrated projects that will improve the quality of life for Rasoun residents.
''We hope that other private sector entities can offer Jordanian villages what Orange has offered Rasoun," Valentina added.
