Regional airline CEO's and Mubadala back the First Middle East Aviation Outlook

Mubadala is adding its weight to the meeting by joining Abu Dhabi Airports Company and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority as a Host Sponsor.

Symon Rubens, Managing Director of Terrapinn Middle East says he is delighted with the support all the regional airlines have given the event by other speaking or heading delegations. Furthermore, the addition of Mubadala to the list of sponsors is further testimony to the importance the capital places on the event.

'Mubadala is a driver in the plan to develop the UAE capital into one of the world's most sophisticated aviation gateways, which will take place in parallel with many other major regional projects,' he said. 'All of which are set to rewrite the world aviation system.

'The Middle East region is quickly becoming an influential player on the world stage and for the First Middle East Aviation Outlook Summit we are bringing together the leaders of the industry to discuss how the future will shape up,' he adds. 'As such we believe this to be one of the most important and significant aviation conferences ever to be held in the Middle East region.'

The Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA), is co-staging the event with Terrapinn, and the organisation has built an international reputation as the leading specialist aviation consultancy in the Asia Pacific, the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East region.

Rubens says that CAPA's view of the region is that the value of the Gulf's near-perfect geographic position as a hub has been enhanced enormously in the past five years by two other main factors; aviation liberalisation, which allows intermediate ports to become valuable crossroad hubs; and the introduction of ultra long-haul aircraft, permitting non-stop service to and from almost any point in the world.

Registrations for the summit have already reached the 200 mark and Rubens expects the figure to grow to more than 250, with regional and international delegates from government, airports, investors, suppliers and tourism/property developers with an interest in the region.
