LANDesk brings its User Group Forum to Dubai

The one-day event, which would feature industry experts, technology analysts and users of LANDesk solutions, will be held on February 28, 2008 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai.

This will be the first time ever that the LANDesk User Forum is being held in the region. The event is being held in collaboration with Intertec Systems, a leading information technology solutions provider in the region. The Dubai-headquartered Intertec Systems is the only authorised partner of LANDesk in the Middle East.

Avocent, Lenovo and Intel Corporation are the sponsors of the User Group Forum.

Commenting on the first User Group Forum in the Middle East, Mr. Andrzej Baldin VP EMEA, LANDesk Software, said:

The region and the GCC countries in particular, has witnessed unprecedented economic growth in the last few years. Business potential in the region is huge, which has made the Middle East region a key focus market for LANDesk in 2008.'

Key customers of LANDesk from the region will participate in the event. The Industrial Bank of Kuwait, one of LANDesk's key customers in the region, will present a case study. The Abu Dhabi-headquartered General Information Authority, Department Of Health and Medical Services and Union National Bank will participate in a Round Table, being organised as part of the Forum.

The LANDesk User Group Forum will also showcase latest version of LANDesk products. The Version 8.8 of LANDesk Security Suite and LANDesk Management Suite were introduced in the US markets recently. The LANDesk Security Suite has been designed to increase enterprise systems security by introducing new data leakage protection, wireless access point discovery, enhancements to patch management, host intrusion prevention (HIPS) and other enterprise level upgrades.

The LANDesk Management Suite 8.8 is designed to help customers more easily secure and manage enterprise systems by adding new real-time software distribution, licensing monitoring, alerting, provisioning and reporting tools to LANDesk Management Suite's already comprehensive system and configuration management capabilities.
