Arab Bank harvests two golden awards at Jordan Web Awards

The announcement was made during a special ceremony held last week by the organizing firm, Media Scope, at Grand Hyatt Amman and under the patronage of Minister of Information Technology Communications Bassem Roussan, with the support of Jordan Computer Society and Intaj. More than 400 workers in the field of web development and design and e-marketing attended the annual event.

Commenting on the achievement, Arab Bank Executive Vice President Dina Shoman said "The two prizes are a token of appreciation on the part of the organizers of the achievements made by Arab Bank in terms of technical and data provision aspects of the bank's services."

She underlined Arab Bank's pursuit of optimal electronic services offered to customers, who can benefit from up-to-date banking technologies.

Shoman added that the launch of the new websites of Arab Bank Group and Arab Bank came in parallel with the launch of the new corporate identity of Arab Bank in 2007, which reflects the bank's strength, stability and modernity. The new identity stands emblematic of Arab Bank's excellence and the new concept it has adopted in serving customers and developing their businesses, posing as an institution whose number one motto is to serve customers the best way possible.

The two prizes came to honor the creativity of Arab Bank shown in the development of a distinguished website in terms of design, components and the high-tech employed. The site facilitates surfing the various pages related to Arab Bank Group and its activities all over the world via (www.arabbank.com). The site's visitors are also offered the opportunity to be acquainted with the history of Arab Bank since it was established in 1930 on the hand, and with the latest of the bank's developments and banking products and services, on the other. The site, in addition, features quick links to e-services such as Arabi online, foreign exchange and monitoring Arab Bank share's performance on the Amman Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the website of Arab Bank-Jordan (www.arabbank.jo) offers general information and the bank's history since establishment in addition to all developments such as new projects and products targeting the Jordanian market, along with smooth, user-friendly e-transactions.

During the award presentation ceremony, gold, silver and bronze trophies covering 26 categories were distributed to winners, in addition to more than 80 special and honorary prizes to companies with distinguished websites. Winners of Jordan Web Award 2007 will represent Jordan in the Pan Arab Arab Web Award Competition 2008, which will be held at Dubai's Burj Al Arab hotel.
