du Ryder revs up UAE

du, the new telecom operator in the UAE announced that the much-talked about du Ryder has arrived in the UAE after a three-month customization process by West Coast Customs, the international leaders in automobile remodeling.
As the nationwide du Ryder first anniversary promotion draws to a close, participants can get their entries in right up till 12:00 midnight on 15 February. One lucky entrant will drive away in the West Coast Customs designed Ford Mustang, the one and only of its kind in the region after announcing his name on 25 February in a Grand Draw. The draw will take place in the Global Village that du has big presence in this year as a partner and telecom provider. The winner will be presented with the customized car in early March.
"We promise our customers a lot of excitement and fun on the Grand Draw date, which we are conducting to mark du's first anniversary. The level of success du has achieved in such a short period is only because of the trust and encouragement of our customers and we hope they have enjoyed the du Ryder promotion, which is our way of thanking them," says Hala Badri, Vice President Corporate Communications at du.
du Ryder comes loaded with next generation technologies, including a wireless hotspot, instant wireless connection, web access and TV streaming systems that allows access to satellite TV programming such as Showtime. Additionally, du Ryder has been fitted with an 80GB hard-drive, a sophisticated seven inch touch screen, DVD player/burner, Bluetooth connectivity, two USB ports, 24 inch Dell monitor, built-in USAmp audio, two 12 inch subwoofers, and a DriveSoft vehicle compatible multimedia player.
Parallel to the du Ryder announcement, du launched a micro site for users to virtually customize and personalize the du Ryder as an online game. The site has attracted over 7,000 participants to date.

About dudu, the new telecommunications company in the UAE, launched mobile telecommunication services on 11 February 2007 across the UAE in addition to internet and pay TV services in some of the free zones of Dubai. Call Select, the first of du's nationwide Fixed line services for voice telephony, was launched in July 2007.
