Q-COOL signs an agreement to provide district cooling services to Danet Abu Dhabi mixed use development

Q-COOL LLC, the district cooling subsidiary of Emirates Utilities Company Holding (EUCH), has signed an agreement with Al Qudra Holding to provide district cooling services to Danet Abu Dhabi Mixed Use Development.

Danet Abu Dhabi Development is Al Qudra Real Estate's landmark project currently being developed to provide a new, state-of-the-art urban community in uptown Abu Dhabi. The well-designed, masterfully-planned community with metropolitan look and futuristic skyline will house hotels, residential and commercial towers, and a shopping mall—covering a total area of 185,000 sqm. It is expected to be finished in the next 3 years.

Cooling systems and services for the buildings will be exclusively provided by Q-Cool's plant located at the Airport Road in Abu Dhabi. The first phase is expected to produce 37,500-ton of cooling capacity and will be fully-implemented by the latter part of 2009.

District cooling is an economic and energy efficient solution for large-scale real estate developments. Pursuant to UAE's strategy to reduce energy consumption and adopt environment-friendly solutions, Emirates Utilities Company Holding is committed to be at the forefront of national companies providing the latest technological solutions responsive to the needs of the changing times.
