Itisaluna unveils first phase plans

The plan consists of several phases to be delivered according to a specific schedule with Baghdad and Basra as its starting points, followed by other provinces.

an official spokesperson from Itisaluna said.

The service allows subscribers to enjoy a wide range of features through the wireless fixed line telephone services such as on-network, off-network and international phone calls-which are competitively priced, short messages, caller identification, call waiting, call forward and voice mail. Moreover, there will be other added-value services available to subscribers such as SMS2TV- enables users to send short messages to TV, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), allows subscribers to dedicate songs and participate in quizzes and competitions, in addition to many other features.

Itisaluna will also launch internet services in Baghdad and Basra based on two different speeds to suit the different needs of its customers. First, 1X Internet service with a speed up to150Kbps and is designed for students, home internet users, and small businesses; it enables internet browsing, sending and receiving emails, chatting, as well as utilizing other internet applications. Second, the High Speed Internet EVDO- up to 3.1Mbps, which is suitable for businesses and internet frequent users who seek high-speed internet connection. The EVDO allows users to download programmes, internet and email browsing, and access on-line games in real time basis.

In order to achieve higher penetration rates across different sectors of the society, Itisaluna offers two options to subscribe to its services: post-paid account or pre-paid accounts by using scratch cards which comes in $5, $10, $20 and $30.
